There is no ceiling!

I was talking to a group of middle school children the other day about goals and how the goal is always to be better than the best!

To support them in overcoming the obstacles that they face when living a  goal driven life, I created affirmations and we repeated the affirmations as a group!

The first affirmation stated, “The goal is to be better than my parents”

Someone asked, as I hoped someone would, “What if you have the best parents in the world?”

My response, “You can still be better than them!”

This conversation caused me to think about the ceilings we place on our lives because of what we see or have not seen! Because of what we experience or have not experienced!

I am here to tell the person reading this today that THERE IS NO CEILING!

What is a ceiling?

I consider a ceiling to be two things,

  1. a self limiting belief
  2. the excuses we use to support us in staying in our comfort zones

What ceilings have you placed in your life that is preventing you from going to the next level?

Examine your money habits. Are your habits hurting or helping you? Do they support you in going to the next income level?

Have put on ceiling on the way that you manage and engage in your relationships? Are the teaching of your past preventing you from elevating to the next level of trust and respect in your relationships?

What beliefs do you have that are preventing you from having a career that you love and enjoy? What ceilings do you have in place that are preventing you from elevating to the next level?

Do you have any ceilings in place as it pertains to your leisure activity? When was the last time you did something for you?

What ceilings do you have in place regarding your health and fitness? What habits are preventing you from elevating that fitness goal that you have?

What ceilings do you have in place regarding who, what, and how you give? Giving without expectation  is crucial to your success!

4 Tips to support you in busting through ceilings

  1. Be willing to do something you haven’t done before.
  2. Be willing to identify the holes in your foundation and commit to fixing every nook and cranny.
  3. Be willing to speak up!
  4. Give more!

Are You A Mom With Low Self Esteem?

Simply put, self-esteem is the way that you feel about YOU!

Are You A Mom With Low Self Esteem?

Simply put,  self-esteem is the way that you feel about YOU!

Every decision that you make come from how you feel about YOU!

I am asking MOMS this question because MOMs play a vital role in the household.

The way MOM feels matter! Whether it’s a two parent household or if MOM is doing it on her own. The way MOM feels matter!

No matter what, MOM is responsible for raising the next generation and producing healthy and whole children.

How is MOM going to take on this great role if MOM doesn’t feel good about MOM!

So I ask again,

“Are you a mom with low self esteem?”

The following questions support you in figuring out how good you feel about you!

  1. On a scale of 1-10, how good do you feel about you and your life right now? 1 (I hate my life right now) – 10 ( I love my position in life and would not change a thing)
  2. Are you sleeping on a dream that you have out fear of a negative outcome?
  3. Do you cuss at your children?
  4. Do you harshly punish your children?
  5. Are you involved with a partner who yells, cusses, or speaks down to you?
  6. Does your partner hit you?
  7. Do you often stay in relationships out of fear of being alone?
  8. Are you involved in a lot of casual sexual relationships?

If you said yes to any of those questions,

MOM it’s time for you to do what is best for you!

MOM, let me tell you about how I struggled with low self esteem for a good part of my life.

I know what it is like to look in the mirror and see disgust, shame, fat, imperfection and having those thoughts affect your life!

Not only does it affect your life, but once you decide to have children, it affects their life as well. You are literally teaching them about how they should feel about themselves.

As I said before, your decisions come from your self esteem!

You didn’t apply for that job because you do not feel good about your abilities!

You didn’t start that business because you do not feel confident about you and your abilities!

You didn’t leave that relationship that is no longer serving you because you do not feel good about you and somewhere deep inside, you feel like you deserve it or that you can find better!

MOM, its time for you to take a stand and decide today that you are going to do whatever it takes for YOU to feel good about YOU!

MOM, its time for you to show your children that they can be anything that they want to be because YOU had a dream and YOU made it happen!

I Got A Testimony......That I Can't Keep To Myself!

June 30, 2018 I got fired from my job. Two weeks before that I spent all of my savings and made the biggest investment of my life. I had just brought a mobile food cart. I was devastated. I did not see the loss of my job coming at all! My plan was to work both jobs.

Well, now I know why I got fired.  There was no way that I could do both.

The show must go on right……

Although I was broke broke, I had a community day where those who lived in the community were more than welcome to taste the food that I would serve during the remainder of the summer season. I made a lot of money that day. I opened in June and closed the first week of September and made enough money where I didn’t have to quickly look for a job.

Once the season ended, I began to look for employment. Although, I had enough money to sit on, I did not want my account go under a certain amount. I went on a million interviews, I did not get hired. I was really starting to think that I was not going to find a job. I mean every time I would interview for a position, the interviewers would say how they loved me and how I should be expecting a phone call and nothing happened. No call ever!!

The blessing in the mess…….

12/21/2018 I had an interview scheduled. At this point, I am like, “Whatever” not excited, I am just going to go. Well, how about this same day, my man gets admitted into the hospital. It was the worst thing I could have experienced in my life.

I pushed through and still went on my interview. When I got there, I met with director of the organization and we immediately clicked. I applied for a part time position because I knew once it gets warm, I wouldn’t NEED anything full-time. However, I am always open to an growing opportunity.

After talking with the director, it was evident that I could bring lots of value to the organization, so she created a fulltime position so that I would be able to receive benefits. I am literally getting paid to fulfill my life’s mission.

It’s a beautiful thing man.

I went from being fired to having a position created.

Won’t he do!
