I have been putting a lot of thought into this lately. I see a lot of people who portray that they are in business. However, what I find is that being in business is about more than having and selling a product or service.

Yes I said what I said.

And if you have a product that sells but don’t have other parts of your business in order, you WILL fail.

In today’s article I am sharing with you , I have found to be key factors in having a successful service based business. I am speaking as a consumer and a business owner.

Lets get into it

Gaining Clarity: A Boss Experience

Last week, I sat down and I got CLEAR.

I got clear on the vision and the mission that I have for my life.

I initially decided to discuss that topic because I wanted to support my tribe, you, in getting clear on your personal life’s mission and having a productive year and life.

A lot of people were coming to me saying that they were confused and didn’t know what direction they should go.

After completing the exercise for myself, I gained even more clarity on my purpose and how I want to spend my days in my old age.

If you have not completed the previous exercises, I encourage you to do so right away.

This week, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what I want my 2021 to look like.

I asked myself,

“What am I going to do in 2021 to help me fulfill my mission?”

“What am I going to do in 2021 to get me closer to the life that envision for myself?”

Asking myself those questions helped me to put a lot of things in perspective.

5 Questions to Support You in Identifying Your Life’s Purpose

Happy Monday!

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to host a “Breakfast and Visions” with a group of dope Black entrepreneurs and community leaders from the city of Wilmington, De.

I love hosting those type of events because it gives me the opportunity to support dope people in getting clear about what it is that they want to accomplish in their life and in their business.

I love it!

The conversations that we had during our transformational session, is what inspired this week’s blog post.

I know most of you who read my content are ready to live life on your own terms.

You want to do what you want, when you want.

You want to travel the world, start businesses, give back to your community, and live in peace!

I feel you.

I am with you.

For you to obtain the lifestyle you want, it is important for you to get clear on your Personal Mission Statement .

I am sure if you have worked for any organization, you have heard of a mission statement. It the statement that describes what the organization is about that you are associated with.

Your Personal Mission Statement is bigger than that.

Getting clear on your Personal Mission Statement will support you in making decisions in your life that align with your purpose and core values.

What is a Personal Mission Statement?

Your Personal Mission Statement describes 3 things

  1. who you are
  2. what you do
  3. why you do it

Your Personal Mission Statement helps you to identify your purpose in your life!

Here are 5 questions that you can ask yourself to support you in developing your Personal Mission Statement:

  1. What are my core values?
  2. Who do I serve?
  3. How do I make their lives better?
  4. What do I want to accomplish in my life?
  5. What am I passionate about?

Please remember when developing your Personal Mission Statement:

  • You must write It down
  • It should be no more than 2 sentences.
  • This is the first step in manifesting the life you desire
  • Share your vision with others

Diabetes: Our Story

Hey hey!

Did you know November is Diabetes Awareness Month?

If not, it’s cool.

I probably wouldn’t have paid it any mind myself, until Diabetes came and disrupted our family like a thief in the night.

I remember the series of events like yesterday.

My boyfriend and I noticed that our daughter was drinking a lot!

Somedays she would drink 16oz bottles of water in less than 15 seconds.

Then she started peeing heavily through the night. She was going through pampers like crazy. Some nights she would wake up drenched. I thought it was because she was drinking so much.

I am sure that played a part but that was not the only reason.

After looking on Google, I realized that it could be a few things, but Diabetes kept coming up.

I knew at that time, that there was a high chance of my daughter having Diabetes.

During this time, my daughter got sick and she would not get better.

We ended up taking her to the hospital.

At the hospital that is when we were told that she had Diabetes.

Her sugar was close to 600.

I was devastated but couldn’t show it.

Honestly, I didn’t know how to respond at that moment.

I didn’t know too much about the disease so I figured that we would just change her diet and everything would be cool.

Then they said that she had to stay.

My baby ended up staying in the hospital for a week. She spent her 2nd birthday there.

During that week, I had to learn about the dis-ease , how to administer insulin, counting carbs, and so much more ,

I had to learn how to take care of a baby that I birthed, I was hurt.

That was a hard pill to swallow.

The day my daughter was admitted into the hospital changed our life forever

My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

That mean she is insulin dependent.

They say this is something that she will have to deal with her whole life.

I don’t speak that over her life.

I plan to continue to do the research and do the best that I can to ensure that my daughter is given the tools that she needs to combat this disease.

If you are a Momp with a child with diabetes or any other special needs, I would love to hear your story.
