Heal Your Heart to Manifest and Maintain Your Desires

Before I share the messages the cards revealed this week, I think it’s only right that I give an update regarding last weeks predictions

Last, the cards stated that I would be receiving some news this week that would have me jumping for joy. I assumed I was going to get a phone call but I did NOT receive the phone call that I was referring to.

It’s cool though because I received other messages that had me jumping for joy!

  1. I was informed of an online training that led to funding opportunities that will allow me to expand my business. I reached out the contact on the call and I have a meeting scheduled for January 6, I will keep you updated!
  2. Also, one of my good friends and clients reached out to me and let me know of a resource/blessing that will support us in facilitating a project we are planning in 2021.

I was too hype!!

Outside of that, I have been taking the role as the leader in my life more seriously, not just in business but all areas.  Listening to my spirit and trusting my intuition.

I am officially on the board of Black Mothers in Power, an organization focused reducing the disparities that Black women face in maternal healthcare.

I have been engaging in a lot of positive self talk and trying my best to stay calm.

Now lets get into this week’s reading.

5 Foods You Must Add to Your Diet As A Diabetic

Hey hey!

Happy Wednesday!

This week on my blog for Diabetes Awareness Month, I am shedding light on this disease called Diabetes.

I hope that you have been enjoying and learning from my content on diabetes over the last few days.

Check out my previous post if you haven’t done so already!

This topic is important to me because my daughter was diagnosed in 2018.

Since then, I see so many people in my community affected by this disease.

I don’t like it.

I am using this week as an opportunity to shed light on the the disease, and to help those who have it, manage it.

Today I will be sharing with you 5 foods that you must add to your diet as a diabetic.

When I include these items into my daughters diet, she has better numbers!

Add these items to your diet or the diet of someone you love.

Let’s get into it!

  1. Cucumbers

They are a great source of fiber and because they contain a high amount of water, that helps to regulate the blood sugar.

My daughter has cucumbers often, with tad bit of ranch dressing. She loves it!

2. Keto Friendly  Multiseed Bread

I get it from Aldi’s! It is vegan friendly. One slice of bread has only 9g of carbs, 5g of protein, 2g of fat. I love the bread and my kids love it too!

3. Little Salad Bar Salad Bowl Chicken Caesar Salad

I also get these salads from Aldi’s. They are so good! I have seen them before but Aldi’s is the cheapest.

4. Yogurt and Granola

-Follow the serving sizes on the back of the packaging.

-When choosing your yogurt make sure you look at the ingredients to ensure that there is no HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, Fructose, Maize Syrup, Glucose Syrup, Fruit Fructose, and Crystalline fructose.

-When choosing your granola, make sure you look at a few of the different types of granola that are on the aisle. Choose the option that you will find tasty but also has low carbs

5. Cinnamon –

One day I was reading my pops book on natural health. It is a thick book and I came across the health benefits of cinnamon and how it can help reduce blood sugars. I have found that it does help with keeping my daughters blood sugars leveled, when I include it in her diet. Maybe it can work for you as well. We use the liquid form from Vitamin Shoppe. I make what she calls a “tea” lol and she drinks the concoction with one of her meals.

There are many foods that I have added to her diet over the last year. And I am still looking for foods and recipes that will support me in meeting her needs of having low carb but delicious food!

If you are a diabetic, I would love to hear the foods that you eat to support you in having low blood sugars.

If you know of any low carb recipes period, I would love to hear from you.

How Voting Directly Impacts You!

Happy Tuesday!

Today is election day in Delaware .

This election is more important than the presidential election.

The people who are elected into office locally, directly impact the systems that are in place that you personally come in contact with every day.

I’m talking about the school system, housing, healthcare, employment, unemployment, welfare. All that.

Now is the time for us to be involved in all aspects of society.

I had the privilege of having two friends run for office this political season.

One of my friends is running for City Council and my other friend ran to be on the school board.

It was an amazing experience to witness two young Black women fighting for important community positions.

The elections that I am discussing were not on the national news.

The elections weren’t publicized, but they were and are life changing.

This political season, by being an involved community member and seeing the community work together and vote, I was able to see

  • A March continue after the mayor wanted to cancel, because he was scared of the damage that it would do to downtown City of Wilmington.
  • A school district keep all their extracurricular activities because they were going to get rid of all the things that make school fun and not jail.

I also was able to see how

  • when you have certain people in office who don’t agree with your values, they can override how the community feels about certain issues if they have the power to do so

For example,

Your Mayor is a developer and he wants to build and tear down the community you grew up in and fine you for not being able to afford to fix your house that you been living in wayyy before he got there. And then when you cant afford to pay the fines, because you already can’t afford to fix up your house, he proposes, the city takes it away from you.

It’s crazy out here!

The only way a person can have the ability to do what they want to do in your environment, in your community, is if you let them.

And ignorance of what is going on out here is not an excuse.

If 2020 hasn’t taught you anything else, it had to teach you that being involved in your local community, especially if you are in environments that have low income and high crime is crucial.

The livelihood of you, your parents, and your children depend on your involvement in the systems that are in place where you live!

So VOTE! Be INVOLVED! Be the CHANGE!

Until next time!
